Jolanda Sabatino was born in Catanzaro (CZ), Italy on June 14th 1986.
She graduated from Medicine summa cum Laude at the Magna Graecia University (UMG) in 2011 and received the Board certification in Cardiovascular diseases in 2017.
She was Research Fellow at the Royal Brompton Hospital Paediatric Echo-Lab – Imperial College of London, from 2017 to 2019.
She completed the PhD programme in Biomarkers of Chronic and Complex Diseases at UMG in November 2019.
She is an expert in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging of adult and paediatric heart diseases, founder and leader of the Paediatric Echo-Lab at Magna Graecia University of Catanzaro.
Since 2008, she has been attending the Molecular and Cellular Cardiology Laboratory at the UMG. Her research activity is mainly focused on vascular biology, epigenetics, biomarker discovery, non-invasive cardiovascular imaging, cardiomyopathies and congenital heart disease.
Dr. Sabatino was recipient of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Training Grant, of the Young Investigator Award of the Italian Society of Cardiology, and of the Best Poster Award of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
