Aleksandra Gąsecka

Aleksandra Gąsecka, MD, PhD is a cardiology resident and clinical researcher at the 1st Chair and Department of Cardiology, Medical University of Warsaw. She graduated with honours from the Medical University of Warsaw in 2015 and defended her PhD cum laude in 2020. She received numerous scientific awards at international medical conferences and completed research and clinical internships in Vienna, Zurich and Amsterdam. She has been involved in multiple clinical trials, received personal scientific grants for a cumulative amount of EUR 80,000 and has been an invited speaker at international conferences in Spain, Germany, US and Japan. She is a co-author of over 90 publications indexed in PubMed, including methodological guidelines to study extracellular vesicles published in “Circulation Research”. She is a nucleolus member of the Young Thrombosis Researchers Group of the European Society of Cardiology. Her scientific and clinical interests are novel biomarkers in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
